In a report today on the ABC News technology blog Tech on Deck reporter Ross Rubin cited dropping prices on Blu-ray hardware and the availability of high-profile, breakthrough titles such as The Dark Knight amongst the reasons why consumers who were slow to adopt the new, high definition Blu-ray optical disc format and content to stay with up-converting DVD players are now opting for the full high definition experience of Blu-ray Disc.
