Nicolas Cage and Elisabeth Shue both turn in Oscar-worthy performances in this bleak and doleful love story set in the seedy underbelly of Las Vegas. The new 1080p/24 AVC transfer of the Super 16MM source from MGM and the lossless 5.1 audio mix offer a reasonable upgrade.
