Director Paul W. S. Anderson takes Resident Evil back to its video game roots, continues to remake The Matrix and Ghost in the Shell, and dishes up a hyperactive visual feast with Resident Evil: Retribution. It won't attract any new fans but should satisfy the RE faithful.
