Wild River gives us a family drama during the early days of the Tennessee Valley Authority and the reluctance of landowners to give up their property that the new dams would eventually inundate. Superbly filmed, directed and acted, this is a powerful film fueled by the on-screen chemistry of leads, Montgomery Clift and Lee Remick.
