Salmon Fishing in the Yemen is a feel-good pursuit of an impossible dream by a wealthy sheik who is a fishing enthusiast. The cast is perfect and Lasse Hallstrom’s direction could not be better. There is a surprising bit of grain and softness in the details that keeps this from being a perfect film.
