It’s a Wonderful Life Gift Set on Blu-ray this November 2011

It’s almost impossible to imagine, but the holiday season is nearly upon us already and what better way to ring in the season when it is officially here than with a gift set of Frank Capra’s beloved film It’s a Wonderful Life, arriving on Blu-ray in a special 2-Disc Gift Set from Paramount Home Entertainment on November 1, 2011 at a SRP of $29.99.

It seems there are only small differences between this release and the previous Blu-ray release from 2009. The It’s a Wonderful Life Gift Set comes packaged in a shadow box and includes an Exclusive Ornament and Commemorative Booklet; all else appears to be the same, including a documentary featurette on the making of the Ffilm as well as a two-disc collector’s edition Blu-ray featuring both a colorized version of the film in high definition and the original, fully restored black-and-white movie in high definition, as well. The Blu-ray is presented in 1080p high definition with Dolby Digital English Mono, French Mono and Spanish Mono and English, English SDH, French, Spanish and Portuguese subtitles.  Special features include:

  • The Making Of It’s A Wonderful Life—a documentary featurette hosted by Tom Bosley
  • Original Theatrical Trailer (HD)
