Owners of the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Blu-ray Disc who have BD-Live capable players will get a special treat on December 12th, 2009 at 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time when Warner Bros. will hold the first-ever world-wide live community screening of the film. Fans will be able to ask star Daniel Radcliffe and director David Yates questions during an interactive Q&A, directly from their home. They will also be the first to see footage from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, featured on the Blu-ray and 2-Disc Special Editions of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, available on December 8th, 2009.
“I’m really looking forward to the Live Community Screening of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and excited to talk directly to fans of the movie about my experiences and answer their questions,” said Daniel Radcliffe. “It’s a wonderful way for fans and for those directly involved with making a film to share opinions and ideas.”
According to director David Yates, “It’s a tremendous honor to be invited to host the first worldwide Live Community Screening and to have the opportunity to talk directly to fans across the globe. I’m looking forward to engaging with the thoughts and opinions of the fans who have supported us so loyally and passionately over the years – without them the films wouldn’t be the success they are.”
