Star Trek Films Coming to Blu-ray?

Norwegian website Release.no is reporting that Paramount will be releasing the first three Star Trek films in a box set along with the first season of the Star Trek television series on Blu-ray Disc to coincide with the theatrical release of the Star Trek movie in May.

If the site is to be believed, the Star Trek: The Original Series Season 1 has also had its packaging redesigned from the ghastly lunch box looking package that it appeared in for its HD DVD release.:

Here’s hoping that the rumours of these Norwegian releases are true because that definitely bodes well for a U.S. release.
