Two More Blu-ray Audio Titles Coming From 2L (Lindberg Lyd)

Norwegian record label 2L has announced they will be releasing two more Blu-ray Audio Disc titles, Mozart/Grieg Vol. II and The Nordic Sound. The Blu-ray Discs, packaged together with hybrid multichannel SACDs (Super Audio CDs) in two-disc sets, will contain only limited video content for menu navigation, just as 2L’s previous Blu-ray Audio Disc titles DIVERTIMENTI and Sonar.

Mozart/Grieg Vol. II features the Dena Piano Duo of Heide Görtz  and Tina Margareta Nilssen playing the Mozart/Grieg Fantasia for two pianos in C minor, Mozart’s  Sonata in D for two pianos and Grieg’s Old Norwegian Melody with variations.

The Nordic Sound is a 19-track sampler from the 2L catalogue including performances such as Marianne Thorsen / TrondheimSolistene  — Mozart: Violin Concerto in D major – Allegro, Cikada Duo — Nordheim: Colorazione (excerpt), and Engegårdkvartetten — Haydn: String Quartet op. 76, no. 5 – Finale/Presto.

Technical specifications for both titles is as follows:

Hybrid Super Audio-CD 5.1 SURROUND + STEREO:
– Ordinary CD (16 BIT / 44.1 kHz)
– 2.0 DSD (2.8224Mbit/s per channel)
– 5.1 DSD (2.8224Mbit/s per channel)
The hybrid SACD looks like a normal CD and plays on all standard players and computers.
Produced in DXD (Digital eXtreme Definition – 24BIT/352.8kHz) by Lindberg Lyd, Oslo.

Blu-ray 5.1 SURROUND + STEREO:
– 2.0 LPCM 24BIT/192 kHz
– 5.1 LPCM 24BIT/192 kHz
– 5.1 DTS HD Master Audio 24BIT/192 kHz
