BDA (Blu-ray Disc Association) Shuts Down Their Blog Site

The BDA blog site Hollywood in Hi-Def.com, which helped spread the BDA’s message in the days of the format war between Blu-ray and HD DVD  through blog posts by Scott Hetrick and weekly sales comparisons between the two formats, will no longer be maintained.

Cohn & Wolfe, the PR firm responsible for maintaining the blog, cites “the economy and other studio commitments”,  as the reasons for discontinuing the site.

The reasons for maintaining the site were becoming less and less clear since the format war ended early last year when Warner put all their backing behind Blu-ray right before the 2008 CES.
