Nature’s Most Amazing Events Heading to Blu-ray

The BBC in collaboration with Warner Home Entertainment have announced they will be bringing the BBC nature documentary Nature’s Most Amazing Events to Blu-ray Disc day-and-date with the DVD release on June 2, 2009. The 2-disc Blu-ray release will have an SRP of $34.99 and the DVD set $29.98 respectively.

Nature’s Most Amazing Events features the BBC’s renowned cinematography as seen in such documentaries as Planet Earth and includes narration by respected naturalist Sir David Attenborough.  The series catalogues the effects of global climatic phenomena, which transform entire landscapes, drawing in thousands of animals and determining their fate.

Utilizing  high-definition cameras and stunning aerial, underwater and ultra slow-motion cinematography, the BBC Natural History Unit captures the epic wildlife spectacles and stories of the animals caught up in these events.  Along with containing all six installments of this documentary, the title also includes six making-of featurettes – one for each episode.
