The disc will be released September 28th, 2010 and sell at a suggested retail price of $19.99.

Following the launch of this format, Naxos will have a steady flow of Blu-ray Audio titles.   Planned releases for the immediate future include:

  • Dvorak Symphonies 7 and 8
  • Dvorak Symphonies 6 and 9
  • Chopin Piano Concerto No. 1 and 2
  • Mahler Symphony No. 8 (Symphony of a Thousand)
  • Mendelssohn Symphony No. 2

Each Naxos Blu-ray Audio Disc features high-resolution (96kHz/24-bit) LPCM 2.0 stereo and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 mixes. According to Naxos President and Founder Klaus Heymann, no Naxos Blu-ray Audio releases will contain up-sampled program material recorded at anything below 88.2kHz/24-bit.
